I am an executive coach, leadership facilitator, journalist and emerging scholar whose work explores leadership in complex environments.

My career started in journalism, and expanded to include social impact, coaching, facilitation and leadership development. The throughline of my work has been service and curiosity about power, belonging and dignity in public and organisational life.

I now run an executive coaching practice and facilitate conversations that support leaders and institutions in their consideration of these issues.

My interest in belonging is rooted in lived experience. I spent my childhood across three countries, have pursued education on three continents, and have built a professional life that spans multiple regions, navigating different cultures, institutions, and worldviews. These experiences shaped my curiosity about how people find their place within communities and organisations and negotiate identity, difference, voice and dignity in institutional life. They also deepened my curiosity about the conditions that leaders foster to ensure that people feel  included and contribute with dignity while remaining fully themselves. That question shapes much of my work.

I have worked with Reuters Television, the Voice of America, and the BBC, and upon my return to Kenya, hosted the country’s leading current affairs talk show on Citizen TV. After years working in public-facing, high-pressure environments as a journalist, I found myself confronting the cost of my chosen career path and burned out. Coaching became a space where I could pause, listen inward, and recover a sense of clarity about the work I wanted to do and the values I wanted to live by.

That experience reshaped my professional path.

For two decades, I had asked leaders difficult questions in public. Today, I ask those questions in a different setting. I create spaces for leaders to reflect on how they exercise power, make decisions, and lead in alignment with their values.

I work with leaders who find themselves at similar inflection points; capable, committed, high-achieving individuals navigating systems that place significant demands on their time, energy, and identity.

I do this through coaching engagements, leadership retreats, and institutional dialogues,

My approach to this work draws on the combination of experiences that have shaped my career: international journalism, facilitation of difficult public conversations, and executive coaching.

Journalism taught me how to listen carefully and ask catalytic questions. Coaching deepened that instinct, bringing psychological insight and an appreciation for the inner, relational work of leadership. Taken together, these experiences allow me to hold space for complexity, identity, power, and purpose in the conversations I facilitate.

At its core, my work is motivated by the hope that the people who lead institutions, tell public stories, and drive social change can do so in ways that sustain their dignity, integrity, and  wellbeing.
