Executive Coach | Leadership Facilitator | Journalist

I explore belonging, dignity, and communication in organisational, institutional, and public life.

Across coaching engagements, facilitated dialogues, and public conversations, I examine how leaders operate in environments where power is uneven, belonging is contested, dignity is often compromised, and communication carries profound consequences.

My work creates space for reflection and dialogue on leadership, narrative, and public responsibility.

My Work

Journalism placed me in proximity to leaders operating under scrutiny, responsibility, and pressure. It also sharpened my curiosity about how decisions are made, how authority is exercised, and how leadership is experienced by the people affected by those decisions.

My work evolved from observing and questioning leadership in public, to working more directly with leaders themselves.

I have since come to view leadership as a relational practice that requires the navigation of enduring tensions.

The Tensions That Shape My Work

Several tensions sit at the heart of my professional expression. They reflect the environments in which I came of professional age and in which most leaders operate.

Across my work, I am particularly interested in how leaders navigate the following paradoxes:

Power and Responsibility

Leadership requires authority, yet the responsible exercise of power demands humility, accountability, and restraint.

Belonging and Difference

Institutions often ask individuals to belong, yet belonging can come at the cost of difference, voice, or identity.

Dignity and Performance

Leaders are expected to deliver results, yet the pursuit of performance and results can compromise how people are treated and valued.

Communication and Silence

Public life demands communication and clarity, yet some of the most important leadership work happens in listening, reflection, and structured dialogue.

Where My Work Shows Up

My work currently unfolds across three interconnected areas: leadership practice, public conversation, and podcasting.

Leadership Practice

Executive coaching and leadership facilitation for leaders navigating power, complexity, and responsibility.

Supporting purpose-driven professionals to communicate with impact, embody the change they want to create, and lead with courage.

Public Conversations

Moderating and facilitating conversations on leadership, civic life, and institutional responsibility.

Creating space for careful dialogue on the ideas shaping leadership and society.

Podcast

Fearless chronicles the journeys of leaders who have chosen principle over popularity and what that choice has cost them.

Conversations about courage, connection and conviction in public life.
